This policy explains how the Speedtrader International website uses cookies and comparable browser-storage technologies, and how you exercise your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by 2009/136/EC), the UK GDPR and PECR, and equivalent national laws.
1. What we mean by “cookies”
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. In this policy the term also covers comparable technologies used for storing or reading data on your device, including HTML5 local & session storage, IndexedDB, and pixel tags. These are all subject to the same consent rules under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
2. Legal basis & consent
We only set strictly necessary cookies by default, on the legal basis that they are essential for you to use the site. All other categories (Preference, Analytics, Marketing) are set only after you give freely-given, specific, informed and unambiguous opt-in consent through our cookie banner. Consent is stored in a first-party cookie named st_consent, together with a timestamp and policy version, as a record of your choice. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time — see § 6 below.

5. No pre-checked boxes, no cookie walls
Non-essential cookies are off by default. The banner offers “Accept all” and “Reject all” as equally prominent choices, and refusing consent does not restrict your access to the website. We do not use pre-ticked boxes, implied consent from continued browsing, or scroll-to-consent.
6. Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can reopen the cookie banner at any time to change categories or withdraw consent:
The same link is available at any time in the site footer under “Cookie Settings”. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the site — including account portals — from functioning.
7. International visitors & your rights
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or equivalent laws apply to you, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with respect to personal data processed via cookies. Requests should be sent to support@speedtrader.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
